Faro de Cavallería

Un faro diferente, situado en la costa norte de Menorca. Era un día de poco viento y ya veis la costa como estaba, es difícil encontrar calma chicha en esta zona.

A diferent lighthouse located on the nosth coast of Menorca. It was a day with little wind and you see the coast as it was.

Faro de Artrutx

Este faro esta situado en la costa sur de Menorca a 8 km de Ciudadela. Fue construido a mediados del siglo XIX.

This lighthouse is located on the south coast of Menorca, to 8 km from Ciudadela. It was built in the midd nineteenth century.

Torres I

Las torres de vigía y defensa que bordean la costa de Menorca, se usaban para prevenir de posibles ataques. Esta torre de la foto fue construida en 1798 y se llama Torre d'en Penjat, "Penjat"  en catalán significa "ahorcado".

The defence towers are found along the coastline, they were prepared to face any possible attack.
This one in the picture was built in 1798 and it is called Torre d'en Penjat, "Penjat" means "hanged".

Lluvia - Rain

Esta semana ha llovido mucho. Fijaros en esta pequeña playa, Cala Alcaufar, al sur de Menorca. Hay un torrente natural detrás de la playa y debido a la lluvia se ha llevado toda la arena. Por cierto, la primera foto no la he hecho yo.

This week it has poured with rain. Take a look at this small beach, Cala Alcaufar, on the south of Menorca. There is a small torrent behind the beach and due to the rain all the sand has been removed. By the way, the first picture is not mine.

Stress

Qué prefieres? la casita que hay en la derecha de la primera foto o estar en la lancha de la segunda foto ? no sabría que elegir...

What would you prefer? the small house on the right side of the first picture or being on the boat of the second one? I couldn't choose...

Talaiot

Esto un talaiot. Se trata de una torre hecha con grandes piedras. Los primeros talaiots se construyeron hacia el año 1000 a.c y se pueden ver varios repartidos por toda la isla.

This is a talaiot. It consists of a tower made with stones. The first talaiots were built about 1000 b.c. and you can see them scattered about the island.

Binidali

Esta pequeña cala de Binidali está situada al sur de Menorca. Me encanta esa casita blanca que hay en la parte derecha de la playa, en la primera foto no se ve porque está escondida detrás de los árboles.

This small beach of Binidali is situated on the south of Menorca. I love this white house on right side of the beach, in the first picture we can't see it because it's hidden behind the trees.
